I worked with an electronic music artist named ODK to develop an iconic logo that would match his ambitious style.

LOGO DESIGN PROCESS

The client wanted a logo that would represent his brand as a professional EDM artist, but he also wanted to try and incorporate his background in traditional piano into the logo in some way.
I developed 6 initial directions, and decided they should all be "stencil" type logos with no defined color scheme, which would make them more versatile for any kind of concert marketing.

In Direction 3 and 4 I incorporated piano keys into the logo as a reference to the traditional piano background. The idea behind Direction 4 was music visualizer bars mixed with piano keys.

ADJUSTMENTS
The client wanted the type from Direction 1 paired with the visualizer bars from Direction 4. The small triangle on the left of the O was placed to balance the sharp corner on the right side of the K.
